Frequently Asked Questions

What are your COVID protocols?

  • Please arrive at your appointed time, not earlier, and wear a mask prior to entering the studio. Your practitioner will wear a medical mask at all times.

Disinfecting is done following each session, including for all high-touch areas of the clinic space.

  • Intake forms must be completed online prior to arrival.

  • Vicki is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • If you have any questions about our COVID protocols or for any reason are unable to comply with any of them, please let us know PRIOR to your appointment.

How should I prepare for my treatment?

For first time patients, please make sure you have filled out the online intake form and email us if you have any questions about the treatment prior to coming in. Make sure you don’t come in on a completely empty or full stomach and drink plenty of fluids that day. Caffeinated drinks are not advised as the goal of treatments is to allow your body to “rest+digest” for optimal results.

What do you recommend after the treatment?

With any treatment, it is advised to rest for the remainder of the day if possible, and not do anything too strenuous for a couple of hours following treatment as you may feel fatigued post-treatment. If you’ve done any bodywork, such as cupping or Sarga Bodywork, it’s extremely important to drink plenty of fluids to flush out any toxins that were released during treatment.

Does acupuncture hurt? I’m scared of needles!

Acupuncture needles are so fine (as this as a human hair) that even those afraid of needles find them tolerable, sometimes not even feeling them at all. If it’s your first time having acupuncture done, please let us know and we can adjust to your comfort level. Once the needles are in, the body starts relaxing and going into rest mode.

Do you take ICBC claims or MSP Premium Assistance?

We take ICBC claims and are able to bill directly to them. Please advise us of your claim number prior to your treatment.
We are not able to directly bill MSP for acupuncture.
